We are looking for an energetic and experienced Cash Applications Specialist to join our finance team. We process high volumes of transactions and remittances, scanning, invoicing, and reconciling items from manual checks, electronic payments, and credit card transactions. As part of our team, you reconcile account receivables, assist with collection management processes, and post payments reconciliation. You create monthly reports for management, and ad hoc reports for customers. Our ideal candidate is a motivated problem-solver who can collaborate effectively on larger teams and possesses accurate data entry skills and an eye for detail. 

Duties

• Receive and timely process cash receipts accurately applying payments to open invoices
• Create regular reports to accurately track financial information
• Perform periodic audits of the receivables ledger and customer statements
• Promptly address payment inquiries and correspond with Account Managers and customers
• Engage in collection management processes as necessary
• Monitor banking transactions for electronic payments, communicate with banking contacts, as necessary. 

Skills/Experience

• Associate degree in finance or accounting preferred but not required
• 2 years in accounts receivable and cash applications
• Ability to work independently and contribute to broader team objectives
• Ability to multitask and manage time amid multiple deadlines
• Superb written and verbal communications skills
• Knowledge in Excel with experience in Microsoft Office applications
• Proficient with data entry and multi-tasking in a Window's environment
• Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Responsible, reliable, and accountable
• Proficient with 10-key
